As members of a touring troupe of Commedia dell’Arte players, your part in life is to distract your audience with merry stories and romance. But also, perhaps, to use your voice to speak truth to power, to rouse the crowd and bring about change.
This game was created for the Gaming Like It’s 1923 game jam on itch.io. It is based on the Rex Ingram movie Scaramouche (1923) and inspired by Commedia dell’Arte, Vincent and Meguey Baker’s Apocalypse World and John Harper’s Lady Blackbird, among other works.
